PSLF Loan Forgivenenes Form – This PSLF form is a form that you need to complete to participate in the Public Services Credit Forgiveness Plan. The PSLF is the program that allows you to get your loans repaid following 10 years’ service. To be eligible for this program, you must complete your full-time job for a reputable employer, and you must make on-time 120 payments.
If you’re not certain about what qualifies as a qualifying employer, then these are the items that count:
-Your government employer
-A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
A public health or non-profit health organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I need to File For PSLF Loan Forgivenenes Form?
You are eligible to apply for PSLF for those who have a loan that is eligible and you have made the required 120 payments on that loan. You may be able to apply for PSLF after having made just 10 qualifying payments, but you must apply before the end of your repayment period.
You do not have to submit a claim for PSLF in the first month of the repayment period. You have the option of waiting until you’ve paid 120 payments before submitting for it.
