PSLF Not Forgiven – The PSLF form is an form which you have to fill out to participate in the Public Services Grant Forgiveness program. The PSLF is an initiative that allows you the forgiveness of your loans in the event of 10 years’ continuous service. Before you can be considered eligible this program, you must perform your job full-time at a qualified employer and pay 120 on-time payments.
If you’re unsure of what constitutes an employer with a qualified status, below are some items that can be considered qualifying:
-Your government employer
“A” stands for 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
A non-profit or public health care provider
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I have to file for PSLF Not Forgiven?
You’re eligible for PSLF If you hold the qualifying loan and can make 120 qualifying payment on the loan. You may be eligible to apply for PSLF after you have made only 10 qualifying payments, however you must file at the beginning of the 10th year of the repayment period.
There’s no need to be a candidate for PSLF at the beginning of your repayment period. You may wait until you’ve made 120 transactions before submitting your application.
