PSLF Problems – The PSLF form is it’s a form that you have to fill in to receive the Public Service loan forgiveness program. The PSLF is program that allows you to receive your loans for free after 10 years of service. If you want to participate in the program, you need to be employed full-time with a qualifying employer and pay 120 on-time payments.
If you are not sure regarding what qualifies as an employer that qualifies, below are some items that are eligible:
-Your government employer
–A 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
-An un-profit or public health organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I have to File For PSLF Problems?
You are eligible to file for PSLF only if you hold an eligible loan and you make 120 qualifying payments on that loan. You could be eligible to apply for PSLF with only 10 qualifying payment, but you have to file for it for it within 10 years from the commencement of your repayment period.
You do not need to fill out a form for PSLF when you begin your repayment period. You have the option of waiting until you’ve paid 120 installments before filing for it.
