PSLF Program Eligibility Requirements – This PSLF form is A form that you have to complete to get the Public Service the Loan Repayment Program. The PSLF is program that allows you to have your loans forgiven at the end of 10 years’ work. To be eligible for this program, you must perform full-time work for a qualifying employer and pay 120 on-time payments.
If you’re confused of what constitutes an eligible employer, there are a few things that can be considered qualifying:
-Your government employer
A 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
A non-profit or public health care organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I have to file for PSLF Program Eligibility Requirements?
You’re eligible for PSLF depending on whether you’ve got a qualifying loan and are able to make 120 qualifying payments on that loan. You may be eligible to file for PSLF after making only 10 qualifying payments. However, you must file for it before the end of the repayment period.
There’s no need to file for PSLF immediately at the time of beginning your repayment period. You will have to wait until the completion of 120 payments before filing.
