PSLF Program Qualifying Jobs – This PSLF form is one form that you must fill out to be eligible for the Public Service Invoice Forgiveness. The PSLF is an initiative that allows you to have your loan forgiven after 10 years of service. To be eligible for this program, you need to perform full-time work for a qualifying employer, and you must make on-time 120 payments.
If you’re not certain about what is an eligible employer, there are a few things that are eligible:
-Your government employer
A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
A non-profit or public health care provider
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I have to file for PSLF Program Qualifying Jobs?
You’re eligible for PSLF if you have an eligible loan and have made 120 qualifying payments on that loan. It’s possible to apply for PSLF after only making 10 qualifying payments. However, you must submit a request for it in the initial 10 years following your repayment period.
There’s no need to apply for PSLF prior to the start of your payment period. You can wait until after you’ve completed 120 installments before filing for it.
