When do I have to file for PSLF Proof Of Employment?
You can qualify to file for PSLF only if you hold one of the loans that qualifies and you’ve made 120 qualifying installments on that loan. You could be eligible to apply for PSLF after making only 10 qualifying installments, but you must apply for it in the initial 10 years following the repayment period.
It is not necessary to make an application for PSLF from the very beginning of your repayment period. You will have to wait until the completion of 120 payment before you file for it.
