PSLF Public Schools – This PSLF form is a form that you will need to fill out to apply for the Public Service Invoice Forgiveness. The PSLF is an option that permits you to have your loans forgiven in the event of 10 years’ continuous service. Before you can be considered eligible the program, you need to perform your job full-time at a qualified employer and be able to make 120 timely payments.
If you’re not sure of what constitutes an employer with a qualified status, there are a few things which are considered to be qualifying:
-Your government employer
The organization is 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
-An un-profit or public health-care organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I have to file for PSLF Public Schools?
You are eligible to file for PSLF when you own a qualifying loan and make 120 qualifying payments on that loan. It’s possible to file for PSLF when you’ve made 10 qualifying payment, but you must apply for it during the first 10 years after the start of the repayment period.
There’s no need to file for PSLF immediately at the time of beginning your repayment period. You can wait until after you’ve completed 120 transactions before submitting your application.
