When do I have to File For PSLF Qualifying Hospitals?
You’re eligible for PSLF depending on whether you’ve got a qualifying loan and are able to make 120 qualifying installments on that loan. It is possible to file for PSLF with only 10 qualifying payments, but you must file for it during the first 10 years after the start of the repayment period.
You do not need to file for PSLF from the very beginning of your repayment period. You are able to wait until you’ve completed 120 payments prior to filing for it.
