PSLF Recertification Form – A PSLF form is an form which you need to complete in order to get the Public Service Grant Forgiveness program. The PSLF is an initiative that allows you to receive your loans for free when you reach 10 years in service. To be eligible for the program, you need to work full-time for a qualified employer and be able to make 120 timely payments.

If you’re not sure about what is a qualifying employer, then these are the things that can be considered qualifying:

-Your government employer

• A 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation

-A non-profit or public health care organization

-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service

When do I have to file for PSLF Recertification Form?

You’re eligible for PSLF only if you hold the qualifying loan and can make 120 qualifying monthly payments on that loan. It is possible to file for PSLF by making just 10 qualifying payments. However, you have to file for it before the end of the repayment period.

There’s no need to fill out a form for PSLF prior to the start of your payment period. You may wait until you’ve made 120 payments before submitting for it.
