PSLF Reform – PSLF form PSLF form is the form which you have to fill out in order to be eligible for the Public Service loan forgiveness program. The PSLF is an option that permits you the forgiveness of your loans upon completion of 10 consecutive years. In order to be eligible the program, you need to be employed full-time with a qualifying employer and pay 120 on-time payments.

If you are not sure which qualifies as an eligible employer, there are a few things that qualify:

-Your government employer

The organization is 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation

-A non-profit or public health organization

-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service

What is the deadline to file for PSLF Reform?

You can qualify to file for PSLF when you own the qualifying loan and can make 120 qualifying monthly payments on that loan. You may be able apply for PSLF when you’ve made 10 qualifying payments, however you have to file for it within the first 10 years of your repayment period.

It’s not necessary to file for PSLF immediately at the time of beginning your repayment period. You are able to wait until you’ve completed 120 installments before filing for it.
