Public Loan Service Forgiveness Employment Verification Form – This PSLF form is an application form that you will need to fill out to receive the Public Service Grant Forgiveness program. The PSLF is an initiative that allows you to get your loans repaid after 10 years of service. If you want to participate in the program, you must work full-time for a qualifying employer and be able to make 120 timely payments.
If you’re uncertain regarding what qualifies as an eligible employer, here are some things which are considered to be qualifying:
-Your government employer
A 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
A public health or non-profit health care organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I have to File For Public Loan Service Forgiveness Employment Verification Form?
You’re eligible to apply for PSLF for those who have an eligible loan and you make 120 qualifying payment on the loan. You may be able apply for PSLF with only 10 qualifying payments. However, you must apply for it within the first 10 years of the repayment period.
It’s not necessary to file for PSLF at the beginning of your repayment period. You may wait until you’ve made 120 payments before filing for it.
