You are eligible to file for PSLF in the event that you have one of the loans that qualifies and you’ve made 120 qualifying repayments on that loan. You might be able to file for PSLF after making only 10 qualifying payments. However, you must file before the end of the repayment period.
You do not have to file for PSLF in the first month of the repayment period. You can wait until having made 120 payments before submitting for it.
