The PSLF is a program that allows to be granted loan forgiveness within 10 years after you have served. When do I have to File For Public Service Loan Forgiveness Emloyment Certification Form?
You’re eligible to file for PSLF depending on whether you’ve got an eligible loan and you make 120 qualifying repayments on that loan. You might be able to apply for PSLF after making only 10 qualifying payments. However, you must file for it for it within 10 years from the commencement of the repayment period.
It is not necessary to submit a claim for PSLF in the first month of the repayment period. You may wait until you’ve made 120 transactions before submitting your application.
