When do I have to File For Public Service Loan Forgiveness Form?

You are eligible to apply for PSLF for those who have a qualifying loan and are able to make 120 qualifying payment on the loan. You could be eligible to apply for PSLF after you have made only 10 qualifying payments, but you must file for it for it within 10 years from the commencement of the repayment period.

You do not need to be a candidate for PSLF in the first month of the repayment period. You can wait until you’ve made 120 installments before filing for it.
