Public Service Loan Forgiveness Form – PSLF form PSLF form is a form that you need to complete in order to receive the Public Service the Loan Repayment Program. The PSLF is program that allows you to have your loan forgiven within 10 years after you have served. In order to be eligible this program, you need to work full-time for a qualifying employer, and you must make on-time 120 payments.
If you are not sure regarding what qualifies as an employer with a qualified status, there are a few things which are considered to be qualifying:
-Your government employer
• A 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
A non-profit or public health-care organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I have to File For Public Service Loan Forgiveness Form?
You are eligible to apply for PSLF for those who have a qualifying loan and are able to make 120 qualifying payment on the loan. You could be eligible to apply for PSLF after you have made only 10 qualifying payments, but you must file for it for it within 10 years from the commencement of the repayment period.
You do not need to be a candidate for PSLF in the first month of the repayment period. You can wait until you’ve made 120 installments before filing for it.
