When do I need to file for Public Service Loan Forgiveness Form Employment Certification?
You can qualify to file for PSLF when you own a qualifying loan and make 120 qualifying monthly payments on that loan. You may be able apply for PSLF by making just 10 qualifying loans, however, you must apply for it in the initial 10 years following the repayment period.
It’s not necessary to fill out a form for PSLF from the very beginning of your repayment period. You are able to wait until you’ve completed 120 payments before filing for it.
