Public Service Loan Forgiveness Forms – Form PSLF PSLF form is the form you must fill out in order to get the Public Service Grant Forgiveness program. The PSLF is an initiative that allows you to have your loan forgiven following 10 years’ service. In order to be eligible this program, you must work full-time for a qualified employer and make 120 on-time payments.
If you’re still not certain whether you are an employer with a qualified status, here are some things that qualify:
-Your government employer
The organization is 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
A non-profit, public health care provider
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I have to File For Public Service Loan Forgiveness Forms?
You are eligible for PSLF if you have one of the loans that qualifies and you’ve made 120 qualifying installments on that loan. You could be eligible to file for PSLF after only making 10 qualifying repayments, but you must file for it prior to the 10 years that begin the repayment period.
It is not necessary to file for PSLF prior to the start of your payment period. You will have to wait until the completion of 120 payments before filing for it.
