The PSLF is an option that permits you to have your loans forgiven after 10 years of service. When do I need to File For Public Service Loan Forgiveness PSLF Occupational Therapy?
You’re eligible to file for PSLF when you own a qualifying loan and make 120 qualifying monthly payments on that loan. You may be eligible to file for PSLF after making only 10 qualifying installments, but you must file for it in the initial 10 years following your repayment period.
You don’t have to be a candidate for PSLF from the very beginning of your repayment period. You will have to wait until the completion of 120 payments before submitting for it.
