When do I have to File For Public Service Loan Forgiveness Recertification Form?
You’re eligible to file for PSLF depending on whether you’ve got the qualifying loan and can make 120 qualifying installments on that loan. You may be eligible to file for PSLF after only making 10 qualifying payments, however the application must be filed prior to the 10 years that begin the repayment period.
It’s not necessary to make an application for PSLF when you begin your repayment period. You can wait until you’ve made 120 installments before filing for it.
