Public Service Loan Forgiveness Waiver Form – This PSLF form is a form you must fill out to be eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. The PSLF is an initiative that allows you to have your loan forgiven at the end of 10 years’ work. The program is available to those who qualify. the program, you need to work full-time for a qualified employer and make 120 on-time payments.
If you are not sure about what is a qualifying employer, then these are the items that can be considered qualifying:
-Your government employer
–A 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
A public or non-profit health organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I need to file for Public Service Loan Forgiveness Waiver Form?
You can qualify to file for PSLF only if you hold one of the loans that qualifies and you’ve made 120 qualifying repayments on that loan. You may be eligible to apply for PSLF after having made just 10 qualifying payment, but you have to file for it during the first 10 years after the start of the repayment period.
It is not necessary to fill out a form for PSLF immediately at the time of beginning your repayment period. You have the option of waiting until you’ve paid 120 payments before filing.
