Public Service Loan Forgivness Employment Certification Form – This PSLF form is an form you must complete to be eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. The PSLF is a program that allows you to get your loans repaid at the end of 10 years’ work. Before you can be considered eligible the program, you must complete your full-time job for a reputable employer and be able to make 120 timely payments.
If you are not sure of what constitutes an employer that is qualified, these are the things that count:
-Your government employer
The organization is 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
A non-profit, public health care organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I have to File For Public Service Loan Forgivness Employment Certification Form?
You’re eligible for PSLF in the event that you have one of the loans that qualifies and you’ve made 120 qualifying repayments on that loan. You may be able to apply for PSLF after making only 10 qualifying payments. However, you must submit a request for it at the beginning of the 10th year of the repayment period.
You don’t have to file for PSLF before the commencement of your loan period. You are able to wait until you’ve completed 120 payments before filing for it.
